In Loving Memory of Whitney Houston 1963 - 2012

One of the most successful song artiste of our time, Whitney Houston's funeral is to be streamed online.

The singer's private memorial service is to take place at the New Hope Baptist Church, in Newark, New Jersey - when she was child, she sang - on Saturday (18.02.12) and her publicist Kristen Forster has announced a camera will be allowed inside to film the ceremony for Whitney's fans to view online.

The funeral will be shown on livestream.com/aplive on the day as well as being available on some satellite services. After the service, Whitney will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, the plot beside her late father John Houston. There will be around 1500 mourners attending the funeral, including many names from the music world such as Chaka Khan, songwriter Diane Warren, L.A. Reid and Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin - who was the star's godmother - has been asked to perform at the service.

However, Whitney's ex-husband Bobby Brown has reportedly been barred from the funeral  by Whitney's mother Cissy Houston and family because they blamed him for her drug addiction during their terrible marriage. Bobby - who has a daughter Bobbi Kristina, 18 from his relationship with Whitney Houston -  quoted by TMZ.com saying he is "extremely disappointed"by the news, and insists he wants to attend, but he "hasn't decided on a plan of action yet".

The music legend was found dead submerged in the bathtub of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton hotel last Saturday (11.02.12). At the age of 48. Half a dozen bottles of prescription drugs including Lorazepam, Valium and Xanax - used as sleeping aids, relaxants and to ease anxiety - were allegedly found in the room and it is believed a combination of prescription pills and alcohol caused her death.
