Britain's Duchess of Cambridge has recycled her mother's dress to wear for her first speech as a royal. The stunning star donned a recycled belted royal blue Reiss shirtdress to a visit to the Treehouse, part of East Anglia's Children's Hospices in the UK.
She paired the high-street dress with a pair of simple black pumps to the event. The frock was first worn by her mother Carole Middleton at Ascot in 2010. Catherine said she wished her husband Britain's Prince William could have been by her side as she delivered her speech. "I'm only sorry that [Prince] William can't be here today, he would love it here," she said according to USA Today. "What you've achieved here is extraordinary."It's not the first time Kate has adorned her mother's clothing. She borrowed her raspberry lace Collette Dinnigan dress to friend's wedding last September, which Carole wore to the opening of the 2009 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Kate also wore the fascinator Carole teamed with the blue dress for the wedding of Nicholas van Cutsem.
Kate wore a £1,150 knee-length belted coat dress by Emilia Wickstead for her St. Patrick's Day outing on Saturday when she visited a military barracks to present shamrocks to the 1st Battalion of the Irish Guards. The brunette star teamed the green dress with a brown felt hat and matching brown suede shoes. She wore a fitting golden shamrock brooch to complete the look.
The 30-year-old beauty has become a fashion icon since last year's highly-publicised wedding to William in April. Her style has been credited with giving the UK economy a $1.6 billion boost after sales of her most popular wardrobe choices have risen.
