Grammy's Fashion Report Card 2012

We all know the music industry goes all out for the Grammy Awards! The Grammy’s may be over, but the celebrities’ Dress Up report card will be the talk of the town for another few weeks. Check out who fizzled or sizzled during the event! Who we think showed up in elegance effortlessly and who tried too hard (Yes Nicki Minaj, we are talking about you)
Here are some of our favourites and some of those who cannot make it! We have got both the weird and the wonderful. I guess this is what they mean when they say we cannot get the best of both worlds.
2012 Grammy's Best Dressed
From Left to Right: Carrie Underwood, Fergie, Katy Perry, Paris Hilton, Taylor Swift and Gwyneth Paltrow

Our baby darling Carrie wore a long-sleeved bareback Gomez-Gracia gown. No one else shone brighter than our little baby here. Talking about shining in shiny armour.

All the stars want to get the most attention they can get and Fergie’s orange lace Jean Paul Gaultier dress certainly made heads turned. The colour looks awesome but dear, what is with the granny panties?

We would probably be expecting Katy Perry to look a little blue during the event given the recent turn of events but instead of glum blue, sexy Perry used the colour to her advantage and totally stunned in a princess-inspired gown by Ellie Saab! Awesome move on Perry!

Where there’s a red carpet, there’s Paris Hilton. Well, she looks good in everything, almost. The reality TV star and heiress looked demure and elegant in white Basil Soda with gold detail.

In her usual classical and sophisticated manner, Taylor Swift did it again and sparkled in her tasteful Zuhair Murad gown, exuding the sexiness so effortlessly! Together with Swift, Gwyneth Paltrow showed up in dramatic Stella McCartney. Cutouts, Black and Gold Belt, need we say more?

From Left to Right: Robyn, Bonnie McKee, Snooki, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga

Swedish popstar Robyn - who was nominated for two awards - wore an unflattering outfit for her big night. She must have received memo that mullet dresses in trend. Mismatching a white skirt that was short at the front and long at the back with her platform Caterpillar-style boots left nothing to be desired of her.

Bonnie Mckee’s dress actually looks not bad. But ever heard of less is more? And more? Is still more. The extra yellow dangling threads ruined her outfit. Try harder next year!

Jersey Shore's Snooki put on a black and white optical illusion style dress - paired with white high heels - that were not nearly glamorous enough for a red carpet ceremony. Can’t decide if her red hair or her outfit helped her stood out more. By the way, honey, the optical illusion ain’t really working for you.

Much talked about, Nicki Minaj's Grammys 2011 head-to-toe leopard-print ensemble was always going to be hard to triumph, not. Challenge accepted, she turned up with the ultimate accessory... the Pope.

The Super Bass singer - who missed out to Bon Iver in the Best New Artist category - donned a blood-red Versace cloak to strut down the red carpet.

Well, we will be surprised if Lady Gaga does not appear on this list. She may have toned down (compared to last year) but I guess this is just her..

But I still dig Swift’s outfit. Absolutely gorgeous babe.
