It is never too late to pull up your socks, and face the clutter in the closet! It’s never too late to start with the pile of stuffs that hasn’t seen the light since who knows how long! Easier said than done, we know....

Well if there’s dust on the garment, remove it from your closet, and allow it to rest in peace in the charity box. Also, toss it if you have been waiting for ages for it to come back in style. People, fashion only repeats every 30 years... So, unless it’s vintage couture donate it and make space in your cramped closet.

What is the best way to organise pumps?

To create more space, store them in clear containers, and stick a photo on the box. In actual fact, the box takes up less space, especially when they are all the same size. If this doesn’t work for you, try taking your sandals or flats, and put the soles together, then stack them up, and place it on a shelf.

How to choose space saving products?

A staple item is brand new hangers, for the whole closet. It doesn’t matter if they are wooden or those nylon huggable types. At the end of the day, they should really, really save space. You want to find something that works for you, and can keep your clothes on the hanger.

What is the rule when throwing things away?

Our advice, Show. No. Mercy. If you have doubts on the particular piece don’t think twice, throw it. You will want to have someone there to guide you along the way; the process will be sped up.

What is the best arrangement to hang clothing?

Use divider tabs, and label sections like a department store. For example: spaghetti straps, tanks, jeans, slacks, short sleeve, and then organize by colour within those categories.

How to cope with throwing away an item of clothing, which you’re attached to?

Take a photo of that memorable piece or cut out a piece of the clothing if you must really touch it. However, if you must keep that o’ so special clothing , store it in space bags or storage tubs, and label.

We are sure that you have your belts all over place, so our advice is to invest in a belt holder. The easiest way to solve this problem is just to find a suitable one, with the amount of belts you hang anywhere in your closet. Oh, you also do not want to keep all the belts you own, just those that you use, and throw those that you are not using. Please, no cheating.

Like any project you want to start where it’s the most difficult. Begin in the back of your closet, or anywhere else you haven’t even looked at in months, years. Once you been through that part of your closet, the rest of the closet will be a breeze!
