Madonna Blasted By Malawi's Government

 Madonna, who has two children adopted from Malawi, recently announced that wants to build 10 schools there.

However, Malawi officials are now sounding the alarm on the Material girl, who scrapped plans to build a girls'school near the capital of Lilongwe last year.

Malawi's Ministry of Education spokesman Lindiwe Chide commented that the government is annoyed with Madonna, who allegedly did not inform the government before she abandoned the plan.

She added, "Now she decides to announce that she has plans for 10 schools in Malawi without getting permission from the authorities again. We feel that this is all about building up her global impression and personal image and it's not in our interest at all."

Chide griped, "She has no authority to decide where she wants to build a school because she doesn't know our needs and where we want new schools..she needs to get our permission and opinions before building schools anywhere she wants!"

Madonna has yet to comment on the controversy.
