Bruce Willis ‘Interference Sparked Feud’

Bruce Willis fell out with Kevin Smith because he interfered while making their movie. Kevin directed Bruce on the 2009 comedy Cop Out but ignited a dispute when he claimed he had a hard time working with the star on set soon after the film's release.

The filmmaker even labelled the Hollywood actor a "f**king d**k". Although there's no bad blood between the pair now, Kevin wishes Bruce had stuck to his job to avoid the friction in the first place. "I made peace early on. When I tell the story about working with him on Die Hard 4.0 it's very complimentary. If I'd only ever worked with him as an actor, to this day I'd be like, 'Bruce Willis is my hero,'" he told Shortlist magazine.

"But then I worked with him in a different capacity. He's been [working] long enough that he knows how he wants to do something, so I'm like, 'Why don't you just direct? I'd be nonplussed. Take the job. But since my name is up there, I'm going to be the one that has sh*t thrown at me, so help me out.' "That's the thing." Kevin once tried writing a Superman film, but the movie didn't materialise.

The 41-year-old has spoken about Zack Snyder's upcoming attempt at the iconic superhero movie, which he has total faith in. "The director Zack Snyder's so f**king talented. I liked Watchmen and of course 300. Some people didn't go for the last thing he did, Sucker Punch, but if you just turn the volume down, it really f**king works," he said. "He knows how to shoot action. He's working with one of the most iconic characters ever created. I've got to imagine sh*t's going to work out."
